These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MDOT Motor Carriers ("MDOT," "we," "us," or "our") websites, mobile applications, and services, including our text messaging program. By using our websites or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Use of Our Websites and Services

You may use our websites and services only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you submit a quote request, application, or any other form, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for any activity under your account or submissions.

2. Job and Contract Applications

Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview, employment, or a contract. All hiring and contracting decisions are made at MDOT's discretion and are subject to our qualification standards, background and Motor Vehicle Record checks, drug and alcohol testing, and DOT and FMCSA requirements, as permitted by law. Information you submit is stored and used as described in our Privacy Policy at https://www.mdotmc.com/privacy-policy

3. Freight and Transportation Services

Quotes and shipping inquiries submitted through our website are requests for information and are not a binding agreement. Freight services are provided under a separate written agreement, rate confirmation, or bill of lading, which controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

4. Text Messaging Program Terms

Program name: MDOT Motor Carriers Text Messages

Program description: If you opt in, MDOT will send you text messages related to your work or your loads. For drivers and contractors, these include dispatch updates, load assignments, pickup and delivery instructions, schedule changes, automated alerts and notifications from our transportation management system (TMS), and messages from MDOT staff. For customers who request them, these include load status and shipment updates. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

How to opt in: Drivers and contractors opt in by checking the unchecked consent box on our onboarding or driver forms, or by giving written consent. Customers opt in by checking the unchecked consent box on a quote, shipment, or load-tracking form, or by giving written consent when they ask us for load updates. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from MDOT at the mobile number you provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, application, employment, or contract, and you may use our services without it.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies.

Costs: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

Carriers: Participating carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your carrier's coverage and network availability.

5. Intellectual Property

The content on our websites, including text, logos, graphics, and software, belongs to MDOT or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
